When I read a book or watch a movie, I like to laugh and cry, often at the same time. That’s my goal as a writer: to bring an emotional depth to my characters that readers will connect with, to provide perspectives that aren’t always politically correct, and to tell a compelling story.
As a writer/novelist, I don’t want to be defined. I don’t want to be hemmed in by the strict confines of genre fiction. I want to write truth, in all its forms – loving, romantic, joyful, and even mean and dirty – in a way that touches emotions and provokes thought.
